PTZ and fisheye cameras
PTZ cameras
Section titled “PTZ cameras”PTZ (pan, tilt, zoom) cameras can be moved from IC Secure. You’ll see a PTZ badge on these cameras on the Devices page. Only Admins and Operators can move a camera.
On the web
Section titled “On the web”- In Live View, hover over a playing PTZ camera and select the joystick button (PTZ control).
- Move the camera:
- Press and hold an arrow to pan or tilt, and let go to stop. The square stops it.
- Press and hold + or − to zoom in or out.
- Or click anywhere in the picture to turn the camera toward that point.
- Use the preset buttons along the bottom:
- Click a filled preset to send the camera there.
- Click an empty one to save the current view as a preset and give it a name.
- Shift-click a filled preset to save the current view as a new preset.
Presets are saved on the camera itself, so everyone sees the same ones, on web and phone. Up to 6 presets are shown.
On the phone
Section titled “On the phone”- Open the camera from Home, a store, or Grid View, and make sure it’s showing live.
- Tap the joystick icon. A control panel appears over the video; you can drag it out of the way.
- Press and hold an arrow to move, and hold + or − to zoom. Tap a preset name to go there, or tap the bookmark to save the current view as a preset.
Pinching the picture on the phone (or scrolling on the web) is digital zoom. It enlarges the picture but doesn’t move the camera.
Fisheye cameras
Section titled “Fisheye cameras”A fisheye camera sees a whole room in one round picture. Dewarp turns part of it into a normal, flat view that you can look around in.
- Hover over the camera (in Live View or Playback) and select Dewarp fisheye.
- Drag the picture to look around, and scroll to zoom in or out.
- Reset dewarp view goes back to the starting view.
If the flat view looks bent or off-center, select Calibrate fisheye lens and adjust the sliders until straight lines look straight. Settings are remembered for each camera in your browser.
On the phone, dewarp works in playback and on cloud footage: tap the dewarp icon, then drag and pinch to look around.
If a fisheye camera doesn’t show the dewarp button, an Admin or Operator can mark it as a fisheye on the Devices page with its Fisheye button.
