Watch live video
Open Live View from the sidebar. The page shows a grid of cameras from the recorders you have access to.
Fill the grid
Section titled “Fill the grid”- Play all fills the grid with your cameras and starts every stream. With a 3×3 or 4×4 grid you’re asked to choose HD or SD first. SD is recommended because it starts faster and uses less internet.
- Click a camera in the Cameras list on the side to put it in the next empty spot, or drag it onto a specific spot (on a touch screen, press and hold, then drag).
- Add camera on an empty spot lets you pick the recorder and camera by hand.
To rearrange, drag a camera by the handle in its top-left corner onto another spot to swap them. To remove one, select the X in its corner, or drag it onto Drop here to remove.
Stop all stops every stream but keeps the cameras in place. Clear all empties the grid.
Layouts
Section titled “Layouts”Choose Single, 2×2, 3×3 or 4×4 from the Layout buttons, or press 1, 2, 3 or 4 on your keyboard.
Select the star to save the current grid and its cameras under a name, then reload it later from Saved layouts. Saved layouts are kept in this browser only, so they don’t follow you to another computer or the phone app.
HD and SD
Section titled “HD and SD”Each camera has two streams:
- HD is the full-quality main stream.
- SD is a lighter stream that starts faster and works better on slow connections or with many cameras at once.
The badge at the bottom of each camera shows which one is playing. To change it, hover over the camera, select the gear (Configure), pick SD or HD and select Connect.
Hover over a camera and select the speaker (Listen to this camera). Only one camera plays sound at a time, and every camera starts muted. You only hear something if the camera has a microphone and the recorder records audio.
Live audio is listen only. Talking back through a camera’s speaker isn’t available yet.

Section titled “More controls”Hover over a playing camera to show its toolbar:

Good to know

- After 5 minutes with no mouse or keyboard activity, streams pause and you’ll see Still watching?. Select Resume streams to continue. This saves internet at the site.
- Press Ctrl+K (or ⌘K on a Mac) anywhere in the app to jump straight to a camera or store.
- Press ? to see all keyboard shortcuts for the page.
