Add a cloud camera

Some cameras have IC Connect built in. They connect to IC Secure on their own, so you don’t need a recorder, a bridge or any network changes. You give the camera a setup code, and then enter its password in IC Secure.

1. Get a setup code (Administrators)

Open Devices and select Add cloud cameras (in a Simple account: Cameras & Recorders > Add cameras).
Enter a Camera name (for example “Front door”). For several cameras at once, enter a Name for this group and How many. They’re named “#1”, “#2” and so on, and you can rename them later.
Select Get setup code.

One code is shown with a QR code and works once, for 15 minutes.
Several codes work for 7 days, which suits a whole install job. They’re shown only once, so select Print or Download before you close the window.

On the phone: Settings > Add cameras. Write the codes down or take a screenshot; they can’t be shown again.

2. Enter the code on the camera

Open the camera’s own setup page and enter the setup code where it asks for one. The camera connects to IC Secure, and the window shows Connected.

3. Finish with the camera’s password

Administrators and Operators can do this. When a camera has connected, you’ll see A new camera is connected on the Devices page (and on Home in the phone app).

Under Ready to add, enter the Camera password. The username is admin; if yours is different, select Username is not “admin”?.
Select Add camera.

With several cameras that share a password, type it once under Same password on all N? and select Add all.

If it doesn’t work

The camera shows Offline: check its power and network cable. You can add it once it reconnects.
“This code has expired”: select Get new codes.
“This is a bridge, not a camera”: you connected a bridge. Add the recorder behind it with add a recorder.
The window closed before you saved the codes: get new ones. Codes you didn’t use simply expire.
